Inspiring Conversations with Kaya Jelani of Living Luminously

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaya Jelani.

Hi Kaya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been able to sense and see things differently than most. I grew up with a strong knowing of what some may call a 6th sense. I was often told I had an old soul and an ancient yet calming healing Aura.

I was born highly intuitive and also very sensitive to energy. I didn’t feel comfortable sharing my abilities and gifts with many people growing up. I was worried people wouldn’t understand or I would be called crazy! In essence, I denied the most authentic piece of myself even though it was so innate and natural.

Later after having my first child, she too was born with highly intuitive gifts. She would also know things before they would happen, was sensitive to energy and so much more that echoed my very own childhood experiences. Growing up in a household that allowed me to cherish my gifts and abilities at home, I knew with the guidance of my mother how to help her.

As I continued to step into my Authentic-self and living life with Divine guidance and purpose I began to understand how to help others. I began working with spiritual teachers and mentors that taught me how to use my abilities to help people. I was able to see my gifts for what they are, my Divine given abilities to use my intuition as a guide and to help others lean into theirs. I was given opportunities to lead my own classes and events where people leave empowered and trusting their own intuitive guidance from within.

I now continue to use my gifts to help people by illuminating their path on their journey when they feel stuck or stagnant. I also teach others how to tap into their own Divine wisdom, guidance and essence through classes and mentoring and much more.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having my gifts of high intuition and recognizing them was not the hard part, I would say that was the easier part. It was looking around and realizing the people, places and things that no longer fit or served me of my highest good when it came to leaning into my soul purpose and mission was the hard part. We all have an ask of the Divine. We need to be able to get out of our own way and also be open to the removal of those things that stand in our way so that we may live the life we truly dream of and love.

Some of my struggles were the beliefs people may have about Intuitive soul coaching, energy work, metaphysics and honestly, jumping over the hurdles of self-imposed limiting beliefs.

It’s getting over what others may think about utilizing non-traditional resources such as energy work like Reiki, Healing Touch, Crystals, Astrology or even things like the beautiful benefits of Yoga or Hypnotherapy. When you can release judgment many things in life become more of a smooth road to travel on for sure.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Living Luminously?

I am here to remind you that you are the conductor of your symphony we call life.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
One of the things that I learned with this interesting event for humanity, is a powerful lesson of introspection and to go within. This meant walking away from a job and relationships in my life that no longer served me of my highest and greatest good, like so many of us were given the opportunity to do.

Covid really gave everyone a chance to slow down and be more mindful of how they spend their energy with people, places and things. Wherever people were feeling perhaps, undervalued they walked away with less pressure and more ease. Covid also gave people a chance to reevaluate their soul’s purpose and to realign their personal goals to meet the desired outcome they want in life.

Though none of this was easy, there were beautiful blessings that were birthed during this time for people. As I often say, “everything is in Divine order even when we do not fully understand”.

Kaya is a wonderful psychic and was a member of The Sistrum, a group of psychics, healers and mediums that did group readings accross that Twin Cities from 2009 to 2015. She is a powerful healer and quite a medium, as well. She has a heart of gold and is empathic.. As a colleague in this spiritual world, I often seek her out for my own readings when I am unable to tap into my own guides or need a second opinion. I highly reccommend her services
