Inspiring Conversations with Kylie Garland of Garland Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie Garland.

Hi Kylie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been passionate about holistic health. In 2015 I met an acupuncturist while living in Hawaii with an extraordinary healing experience that inspired my direction towards Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine. In 2017 I began my master’s program at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington. I received both a masters degree in acupuncture and went on to earn a Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2020 that focused on in-depth knowledge of herbal formulas.

After graduation, my husband and I got married. We opened Garland Wellness together and have 2 amazing children (2 & 4). I’m proud to say that my family is my number one priority which has molded Garland Wellness into the family-centered establishment it is today. My small group of clients are like family to me. I’m invested in their wellness and feel blessed every day to have them.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing a new business as a new mother and taking 2 full maternity leaves has some challenges. I have learned so much about patience, priorities, and balance in both my family life and work life.

As you know, we’re big fans of Garland Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Garland Wellness is an acupuncture and holistic health private practice based in faith and Christianity. I treat everything from pain management, to sports medicine, digestive concerns, allergies, eye health, skin rejuvenation, emotional wellness, sleep optimization, general relaxation, and fertility support to name a few.

In addition to acupuncture, I offer full spectrum clinical grade light therapy, fire cupping, gua sha soft tissue manipulation, herbal formulas, tuning fork, micro-needling, and Maya Abdominal massage as add-on or stand alone treatments.

My initial interviews are in-person, and I will ask to see your tongue and listen to your pulses.

I am confident working with people who are not fond of the idea of needles. My treatment style is gentle, intuitive, and minimizes pain while still maximizing reward.

What matters most to you?
My family and Christian faith are my top priority and influence every decision I make in my business and in my personal health and wellness journey.

Acupuncture, unlike most allopathic interventions, is a medical practice that doesn’t neglect treating the spirit.
