Today we’d like to introduce you to Theresa McCahey
Theresa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi, thank you for having me here today. I’m the owner of Vibrantly Well, a Regenerative Health practice where we focus on getting to the root cause, at the cellular level, of people’s ailments and symptoms while putting the body in the right environment so that the body can naturally heal itself.
I grew up in an Italian family where a healthy lifestyle wasn’t at the forefront of our lives. Food was always the centerpiece of our everyday joy – the homemade pastas, pastries and sweets always brought us together and made us happy. Everyone in my family was obese, so it was always hard for me to see the suffering my Mom and her siblings dealt with as I was growing up and even throughout my adult life. Though I knew I didn’t want this reality for my life, as long as I can remember, I never felt comfortable or happy in my body. I always felt thick, sluggish, and struggled with my weight, I had consistent brain fog, allergies and never really knew what “good” sleep was.
I spent the earlier years of my career working for a large corporation, traveling the majority of the time and really, dedicating most of the hours of my days to my work. That professional lifestyle didn’t exactly help any of my ongoing health challenges.
From 2015 to 2019, I experienced numerous losses which brought on, not only a high level of stress, but an onset of extreme anxiety which caused my body to scream pretty loud and that’s when I hit a crisis level with my health where my digestive system completely shut down due to my body’s stress. The food I ate would sit in my throat and take hours to digest, eventually leaving me with the inability to eat solid food. It was at that time I was prescribed a hard pharmaceutical drug that I knew deep down I didn’t want or need and I lost 40 pounds in that very unnatural way in just a couple of months. It was at that time I also began having thyroid issues, nerve weakness and physical pain in my lower back, leg and foot. I was experiencing tinnitus, arthritic pain, inflammation and regular bouts of vertigo. And, as I started to slowly eat again, the weight crept back on no matter how much I tried to keep it off.
It was then that I realized I needed to take my health into my own hands to find alternative and more natural ways to heal my body, and get off of that pharmaceutical. I also ended my corporate career which allowed me to focus on my healing. That’s when I threw everything I had at my health challenges. I started to work with a long list of practitioners that included a chiropractor, a masseuse, myofascial expert, an acupuncturist, energy healer, homeopath and a biofeedback therapist and, two years ago I implemented the work of regenerative health into my life.
This is where I began what was to become my freedom journey.
Today, because of the regenerative health work I’ve done for myself, I have reversed all of my symptoms in my body and I’m no longer on that pharmaceutical (or any medications). I feel lighter, both emotionally and physically, I’m at and have maintained a healthy weight for the past year and half, I have an overflow of energy and have never felt more well; something, if I am honest with you, I thought I might never experience in my body, or in this lifetime – all since incorporating regenerative health into my life. Throughout my own health journey, I gained so much personal knowledge and experience. It was when I found the work of regenerative health, the passion came alive within me to become a Regenerative Health Practitioner so I could bring my passion to bear on what is now my work in this world. That is how Vibrantly Well was born.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say my own health journey has definitely not been easy. My health was constantly on my mind even as early as my high school years and all through my adult life. I tried every program out there to get healthy whether it was hiring a trainer, implementing diet programs (literally all of them) and overall wellness programs. They all worked for a little while but then my weight and my health challenges would revert back. I think we as women, we often focus on our weight a lot and that was certainly me for most of my life, that is until I found a regenerative health lifestyle. That’s when I learned and understood what weight in the body really is, how it’s created and what systems in the body need to be supported to release the weight. I truly believe that I had to have my own health crisis and challenges to find this work and my passion. Going back to school for anything was never a thought that crossed my mind, that was until I found the Institute of Regenerative Health. I knew immediately after reading about the school and the course curriculum that it was exactly what I was looking for and what I was supposed to be doing. I never looked back, I never second guessed my decision and I am grateful everyday for my journey.
I knew when I became a Regenerative Health Practitioner that I wanted my practice to grow organically. I wanted my clients to come from people I knew, from people I’ve met along my own life’s journey, referrals from those clients and the beautiful community connections with those such as Voyage Minnesota. That’s what has resonated with me and is working very well for me and those I serve. I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be and trust that those who are called to find this holistic approach, this natural way to health and healing will find their way to me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m happy to. Vibrantly Well focuses on root cause healing and returning the body’s environment to abundance instead of depletion, which is what allows for and prepares the body for regeneration. We focus on getting to the root cause of symptoms or dis-ease in the body by supporting the body at the cellular level and creating an environment where the body comes back into balance. The work of regenerative health yields the highest levels of our cellular energy and when we do this the body is able to create cellular repair and regeneration, and that is when the body is able to resolve those symptoms.
I work with anyone who has symptoms, who has a diagnosis or just doesn’t feel good and wants to get healthier. Weight loss transformation, longevity and living a long healthy lifestyle while turning back the clock are the other ways and areas I love to work with my clients on as well. I have seen some great success in these areas as well, myself included! I also love working with families in any of the areas I’ve mentioned above. I find that when we have the support of those in our household as we embark on any wellness journey it makes those changes, those new routines or whatever it might be that much easier and more successful. I do love educating people and sharing regenerative health every opportunity I can so if any of your readers are looking for a speaker at their next group gathering, their company wellness day or are looking for a participant at their next health fair, I would welcome their connection so that we create a perfect offering for their next experience. My specific offerings are listed under the Work With Me section on my website. I’m always happy to hold space for a free discovery call for anyone who has questions or simply wants to make sure that the regenerative health path is the right fit for them. It’s important for me to always make sure that my clients are 100 percent ready and confident in what their regenerative health journey may look like.
We work with botanical herbs, organic superfoods, nutrition, detoxification and other leading regenerative science modalities to bring balance back into the body, detoxify impurities, increase cellular energy and improve cell communication. I am very proud that everything we work with is made from, or is, whole foods, plants and herbs and that we don’t work with anything that is made synthetically or contains any chemicals. In fact, one of the products I work with is actually native to our body and scientists have been able to stabilize it outside of the body and because of this break through product we are able to replenish what the body makes less of as we age, it’s really incredible!
What most of us don’t realize is that we are constantly exposed to harmful chemicals and toxins in the air, water, food and everyday products we use, and over time they accumulate in our bodies, disrupt our biological systems, and weaken our immunity. Adding to this, because of modern farming practices this affects our food quality and soil depletion which leaves our food stripped of essential nutrients adding to these challenges. As a result of all of this, we become nutritionally vulnerable, struggling to maintain health, vitality and our everyday well-being.
I really want people to know that there are other more natural ways to support and treat the body and that suffering is optional. As I’ve mentioned on my website, I believe in holding space for and meeting each person where they are at in their existing health journey and goals. Everyone is welcomed at Vibrantly Well. My mission is to awaken each of you inside your own wellness journey to symptom-free living and longevity so that you too can feel vibrant and well.
Thank you for having me here with you today and giving me the space to share my story, my work and my passion. I invite any of your readers who may have questions, who may be curious to learn more or anyone who may even be ready to walk down their own regenerative health journey to contact me via my website, I would love to connect!
