We recently had the chance to connect with Jayme Pronger and have shared our conversation below.
Jayme, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I am most proud of is being a first generation college student in my immediate family. I am very proud to say I am working towards my Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner. Continuing my education and being a lifelong student, as healthcare is ever changing, has always been important to me. This hard work goes on behind the scenes.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an Aesthetic Nurse Injector and my journey in this industry started over two decades ago. I started as a medical aesthetician and medical assistant in a plastic surgical setting, assisting the surgeon in many ways to prepare patients for aesthetic surgery, both pre and post operative care. I later became a Registered Nurse and received specialized certifications and schooling in surgical and aesthetic nursing. After many years in the business I opened my own practice, Nurse Jayme Aesthetics. I have two locations, one outside of the twin cities in Minnesota and one tucked away in the mountains outside of Jackson Hole Wyoming. I provide medical grade skin care services, regenerative aesthetics and all injectables for anti-ageing purposes. I have always continued my education in this everchanging field, and I am currently working towards my Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner to one day become my own medical director.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I would have to say the three influential people that taught me the most about work ethic are my father, great aunt and uncle. My father has always shown me what hard work, and the payoff, is all about. He has worked on cars as a body man and painter since he was 17 years old. He is a man of all trades and is capable of accomplishing just about any project you throw his way. My aunt and uncle who are no longer with us were also extremely hard working people who ran a beautiful farm in Maryland. I was flown out to their home many summers to help stock the barn with hay for the winter season and help care for the horses. As a child I didn’t realize the impact this would make on my future self. They encouraged early wakeups, reading the newspaper, and farm work. These people helped pave the way for who I am today.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would say you are going to accomplish great things in this life. You will help many people through hurts, pain and suffering because of what you have gone through throughout your life. It won’t be easy, but you are so strong and resilient.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire those elderly individuals in their 80s, 90s and even 100’s living in this world defying the odds of what society suggests against them. Those are the true celebrities in this life. I aspire to be one of them one day. They didn’t place themselves in a box, they stayed healthy physically, emotionally and physically strong amidst all the woes of this physical world.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope people tell about me when I am gone is that I helped them in a positive way. I always say great skin paves the way for many positive changes for people. When we look good we feel good about ourselves. I absolutely enjoy spreading joy to people. We need love and light in this world.
