Life & Work with Anisha P of Maple Grove

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anisha P

Hi Anisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As a British expat living in Minnesota, I, Anisha (MinneCravings), am passionate about exploring diverse flavors and culinary scenes. Growing up in the UK, I was spoiled by the rich cultural heritage and delicious food scene. However, when I crossed the Atlantic to Minnesota, I discovered a whole new world of flavors and cravings that left me wanting more. This inspired me to create MinneCravings, a food blog that fuses my British roots with my American adventures.

MinneCravings started as a fun hobby, sharing foodie experiences with friends and family back home. But as time went on, it evolved into a side hustle with a growing following and increasing opportunities. I’m thrilled to see where this journey takes me! I invite you to join me on this delicious adventure, exploring Minnesota’s hidden gems and traveling to new destinations. Whether you’re a fellow foodie, expat, or lover of good food and drink, I’m thrilled to have you along for the ride.

At MinneCravings, I’m always on the lookout for the next great culinary experience. Stay tuned for new posts, behind-the-scenes stories, and mouth-watering photos that will leave you craving for more. Thank you for being part of my culinary journey – I can’t wait to share more flavors, adventures, and stories with you! Let’s share the love for good food and drink, and explore the best of Minnesota’s food scene together!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey to becoming a food blogger wasn’t always easy. I faced many challenges, from navigating a new country and culture to finding my unique voice and style, but through it all, my passion for discovering new restaurants and sharing my experiences kept me going. I’m proud to say that MinneCravings has become a labor of love, a reflection of my adventures in Minnesota’s food scene. One of the biggest challenges I faced, and still facing is discovering unique and authentic dining experiences in a new state. From finding reliable sources to getting behind-the-scenes access, it took time and effort to build my knowledge and network, which I am still working on.

Another challenge I face is arranging collaborations with businesses. Sometimes, it’s difficult to find mutually beneficial partnerships, and some businesses try to take advantage of my platform without offering fair compensation or recognition. It’s hard to put time and effort into creating high-quality content – taking footage, editing, adding voiceovers, and writing captions – only to feel undervalued. Food bloggers like myself put in a lot of work to help businesses grow their audience and reputation, but we’re not always given the credit we deserve.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Through MinneCravings, I’ve had the opportunity to turn my passion into a business, creating high-quality content that showcases the best of Minnesota’s food scene. My work involves researching and discovering new restaurants, chefs, and food trends, as well as collaborating with businesses to create mutually beneficial partnerships. I take pride in producing engaging content, including writing, photography, and videography, that inspires my audience to try new foods and drinks. Whether it’s a hidden gem in Minneapolis, a trendy eatery in St. Paul or a local establishment in the suburbs. I’m dedicated to sharing my findings with my readers and providing them with an authentic experience. By combining my British roots with my American adventures, I bring a unique perspective to the Minnesota food scene, highlighting the diversity and richness of the state’s culinary landscape.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
While MinneCravings is my brainchild, I couldn’t have done it without the support of many others. My family and friends, who have been my rock throughout this journey, offering encouragement and support whenever I needed it. The restaurant owners, chefs, and industry experts who shared their stories and insights with me. The fellow foodies and bloggers who offered encouragement and collaborations. And, of course, my readers, who inspire me every day with their enthusiasm and engagement. Thank you to each and every one of you – I’m honored to have you along on this food journey!
