Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Adenodi.
Hi Beatrice, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a Nigerian American living in the US, I have always been between two cultures. I had to learn how to adapt and understand my environment from different perceptive through my personal and professional journey. I have developed considerable skills that served me throughout my career, especially in marketing and consulting. I felt that there was no place for me, and I needed to forge my path. I was better off using my skills to support the communities than being behind a desk. As a result, I created my business consulting firm, Mirror Ink, which helps small business owners and entrepreneurs move from reactive to reflective in their professional. After working with multiple clients through the years and some of my personal experiences, I noticed that we also had a handful of problems that most of us struggled with universally. As a result, I launched my social initiative, Mindless Behaviors, and released my book in October 2020 called Mindless Behaviors: Breaking Through Unsee Barriers. It sheds light on universal behaviors that we struggle with daily that go undetected because they are micro-issues that eventually become massive. My goal is to create a generation of hopeful people that leads to fulfilling lives.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
NO, long from a smooth road. There are many times that I would have to constantly prove myself that I deserve to be in the rooms and meetings that I sit in. At times take a mental toll, but I know that it is a mission that I am on, and the value is more than the faces and hissing fit that I get from time to time. I know that many of my challenges stem from social conditioning that I see that I need to overcome along the way.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In my work, I help my client become better problem solvers to move from reactive to reflective in their personal and professional lives. I specialize in strategy, planning, and logistics for your marketing, business, and event initiatives in my consultancy. I can say I have the mind of an engineer constantly looking for how to connect the dots and make processes and systems for my clients. For my work, clarity and focus are critical in my practices that I support my clients in gaining that direction needed to move their business forward. I am proud of the book that I have written called Mindless Behaviors and the many accomplishments I have achieved in my work. I feel I am walking in my purpose.
What sets me apart is that I become curious about my client’s journey, dreams, and aspirations. I lean into my process and ask the challenging questions they usually dont themselves. To me, I create lifestyles, not careers.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The people that deserves are my friends, family, social groups, co-workers, etc. I don’t have a particular role model that contributed to my success. I would say I am inspired my humanity and my environments. Without my lessons, experience, cultures, etc. I would not be where I am today.
