Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Ogega
Hi becca, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started to like fashion when I was 16 years old. At first, I was strictly into streetwear, and I began posting my outfits on Pinterest—an app where anyone can find inspiration. I made an account, started posting, and just two days later, one of my outfits ended up on a popular mood board with a lot of followers and views.
From there, I stayed consistent with my posts, and soon, I started seeing my face on even more mood boards. That exposure pushed me to expand my fashion sense—I grew to love heels and started incorporating them into my streetwear looks to add a unique twist.
Where I am now, I’m not exactly where I want to be—there’s still a lot of work in progress—but I wouldn’t be here, especially when it comes to social media, without my sister, Faith. She played a huge role in shaping my online presence, whether it was helping me with outfits, captions, or even deciding which brands to reach out to. A lot of where I am now is thanks to her.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been the smoothest road. There were many times when I struggled with self-doubt, feeling like I wasn’t getting the recognition I deserved—wondering if maybe my audience didn’t connect with what I was creating and putting out. Even to this day, I still feel that way at times. But I’ve realized that’s just how much I love being a creator. It got to a point where I stopped caring about the likes and simply did it because I wanted to.
The truth is, the things you truly want in life don’t come easy. The road is never smooth, and I’ve definitely faced my share of challenges.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What I do is simple—I create content. I mainly post my outfits, and while it’s hard to say exactly what I’m known for, I’d love to think it’s my fashion sense.
Right now, one of my proudest moments is getting invited to NYFW and even being featured in a magazine. I didn’t expect that to happen so soon, but it was an amazing experience. I met so many talented content creators, and it was truly inspiring.
What sets me apart is that I’m still a full-time college student while also working a 9-to-5, clocking in at least 60 hours a week. A lot of the content creators I follow don’t have to juggle school or a regular job, but I’m out here hustling every single day. At the same time, I still believe in the importance of education and staying academically driven.
Beyond that, my faith plays a huge role in my journey. As a Christian, I take my relationship with God seriously and trust in the plans He has for me.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that has helped me on my journey is to remain patient and keep putting out content—even when it feels like no one is watching. In the past, I used to hesitate before posting, feeling like all eyes were on me or that people had too many opinions. But I’ve learned that patience is key and that my time will come.
There are moments when I want things to happen instantly, but I’ve come to understand the importance of waiting on the right timing and allowing things to fall into place as they’re meant to.
