Hi Destiny, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started during the beginning of COVID. All the nail salons shut down, which was a big deal to me because I like to get my nails done. It’s like self-care for me. I realized I could start learning how to do nails myself. So, I started as a dip powder company and expanded into the press business after a while. Finding my target audience took a lot of work, but when I found them, I started flourishing.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
When I was a dip powder company, business was booming, and it was hard to keep up with orders as a single person running the show. I struggled with staying consistent because I would be overwhelmed by the lack of attention I was getting. When I transitioned fully to press-ons, I had to rebuild my target audience, which I’m still doing today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make press-on nails from your basic color to full bling and fictional characters. I think my biggest proud moment was when I landed my first celebrity client Judi Jai from bad girls club. I didn’t realize my work was good enough for the big leagues. My style is unique, and I can create whatever a person wants, but I love to freestyle. I like when people let me express my creative talents.
