Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Esch
Hi Elizabeth, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In May of 2024, I launched my personal styling business, Elizabeth Hope. Formerly a stay-at-home-mom of 4 children, I wanted to venture out and start my own business as I entered into the empty nester years. My husband and kids are my biggest encouragers and supporters. Five years ago I started working part-time at La Rue Marche, a women’s boutique in Hudson, WI. This was a perfect fit as I have always loved fashion, attended UW-Stout for Fashion Merchandising and worked in retail since I was 16. At LRM, I help women of all ages – late teens to 80 years old – and assist with buying our merchandise at market. What I love most about my job is styling women for a specific event. This was the catalyst to starting my own business, Elizabeth Hope. As a personal stylist, I believe every client should be styled in a way that is “authentically you & intentionally styled.” I encourage my customer to try updated and current fashion trends, but still remain comfortable in what he/she is wearing. Personalized customer service is very important to me. I provide top notch, individualized attention to the details of my clients’ wardrobes and event needs. Curating unique and vintage items is also a benefit of working with me. I have made connections across the US with retailers that carry extraordinary pieces and can purchase these for my clients. My passion to dress women fashionably, comfortably and uniquely is evident in my service. For the woman who wants to present herself in a way that is styled head-to-toe without spending any time shopping or searching for her wardrobe items, I am for you! I accommodate your busy schedule; deliver to your home or workplace; and provide you with professional, personalized service.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge for me is reaching my client base. I have tried print ads and social media. Perhaps the real obstacle is my patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day – my business will not be built overnight. I encourage my current clients to share my contact information and their experience working with me with others. I have assisted in fashion shows around the Twin Cities to build relationships and use my styling skills backstage.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Personal stylist that includes:
*The Closet Edit
*Special Event
*Vacation
*Quarterly Wardrobe Consultation
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Elizabeth Hope has brought me so much joy! It has enabled me to feel youthful, more technically savvy, and involved in the Twin Cities. This business venture gives me purpose beyond being a mother and wife. As a 58 year old woman, I am an advocate for women of all ages, including the post-menopausal woman, to be stylish and enjoy dressing for work, everyday and special events. Building new relationships with potential clients, individuals in the fashion industry and retailers is so invigorating. There is no time to settle into being an empty nester – I’m here to work hard and have fun!
