Life & Work with Emmett Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmett Johnson.

Hi Emmett, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Started playing the game of football at 8 years old at McRae Park with coach Kendrick Williams. I took every off-season seriously and outworked my potential. Always put God first. Decided to attend the Academy of Holy Angels where I went for all 4 years of high school and grew as a person as well as a player. Won Awards like Mr. Football. MaxPreps Player of the year. AP Player of the Year, Metro Player of the Year, etc.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obstacles were being underrated as well as being under-recruited. I worked for everything that I received and had nothing given to me, I feel like that is a big part in my success. Having to deal with many uncertainties that God got me through

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I play Division 1 football at the University of Nebraska, where I play Runningback at. I am majoring in Finance. I am known for having a great Character as well as being a hard worker and overachiever. I am proud of the academic and athletic achievements that I have and I am blessed to be in my position. I am the Mr. Football of Minnesota, and also the National High School Player of the Year.

What matters most to you? Why?
God and my family matter the most to me. They are the reasons that I am what I am today. The most important thing in my life is them.
