Life & Work with Kelsey Martindale of Downtown Duluth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Martindale.

Hi Kelsey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Altered Vibrationz started in 2018 when I became a certified Reiki master. I had been teaching and providing reiki to the community with my mom Kim Johnson (owner of “Love of the Divine Reiki”). After a couple of years of teaching and providing reiki, I decided to change my way of outreach within the community. I started to focus on creating crystal healing jewelry and oils that can be used as tools for healing in everyday life. All while making deeper connections and doing what I love most, helping others.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always struggles, but everything is temporary. I struggled initially with finding my worth within the gifts I had to provide to the community. I quickly learned that there is a place for everyone and was immediately embraced with love and support.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I create healing jewelry and essential oils for everyday healing and self-care. I am extremely grateful for the connections I make and very proud of what I can provide on an emotional level, as well as the safe space I give to allow vulnerability for healing.

What matters most to you? Why?
I want to provide space for others to show up as their unique, authentic selves. It’s also important for the community to help others feel loved and worthy, all while making changes, no matter how small.
