Hi Terrell, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was originally born and raised in Detroit, MI. Growing up, it was filled with property drugs and no way out at the age of 15. I made music be my way out. I started rapping with a group called nutty boys, and at that time my artist name was Cuzo,’s nephew, my baby. Grown-up and Detroit with very few options. I found myself in Duluth Minnesota in my early 20s during these 18 years I have made bad choices that I serve my time for. And I have also given back a lot as well. During this time I went to prison for non-violent crime and received my GED because I get kicked out of every Detroit public school in the middle of my 12th-grade year. When I got out, I want to college to Lake Superior College as an automotive technician. I was the first one in my family to go and while doing so I graduated with honors and then went back a few years later for building airplanes, for cirrus aircraft.
Now three years ago my life was turned upside down. when I found my wife of 12 years deceased along with my 5-month-old unborn child. But two weeks before this we both lost custody of our three beautiful kids. with both of these chains of events occurring it took me to a place of self-growth and inner peace finding. Once I came out of this dark place, I only had one mission and that was to see my kids again. So I thought of what I could do to get my life back on track and I started doing music again after taking my 10-year hiatus, as of right now I have 16 music videos on YouTube. I have a total of 40 songs with multiple artists from different states. I also have one of my songs called Give It Your All on a motion picture that is on Amazon call he played me I have teamed up with local businesses and entrepreneurs over the years to help grow Duluth as a whole. A conjunction with me as an artist I have a clothing line that stems from my artist name which is Casino Cuzo, LLC, as well as a DBA in the name of Mind Body Sole that you can find on Google search. With this I have a mobile detailing company called Rell’s mobile detail, we will come to customers for vehicle completions, or they can come to us now for the winter season in our new heated indoor location. now with all of this going on to start the new year of 2023 off the right way, I have teamed up with Victor Martinez with a new and exciting online radio station/podcast called Zenith city media working alongside Victor, we will bring a new light to Duluth as a community and help upcoming artist not just in our city, but around the world with exposure on the new app, that’s currently ready to be download it on Apple and android devices.
Casino Cuz’O Keeps Hustling with “Come From,” as He Continues to Gain Popularity DETROIT – Casino Cuz’O makes sure that he enjoys every moment and appreciates the small things in life. One way he does that is to continue to write and record lyrical masterpieces that display his rough edges but convey positivity and hope.
Treating music as a “therapeutic treatment,” Casino Cuz’O said, “I’m trying to bring more feeling back into the music industry. I thrive on creating a message with all the music I create. I’m trying to create a vibe for everyone across the world. There are no limitations in this world unless you allow it to be.”
Staying true to his words, Casino Cuz’O has been doing music since he was 16 years old but took a 10-year hiatus before returning to develop his own lane of music within the last two years. In that short period, he has released four singles and his debut album, “Relentless Vol. 1,” which contains 17 hard street-style rap songs. Relating to fans, Casino Cuz’O creates lyrical poetry with an interreflection of surviving life in the hood, coming out the other side, and hustling every day by dropping rhymes and floating hooks.
The album contains a bevy of hardcore rhymes, relentless wordplay mixed with metaphors, and perfect beats. With songs focusing on women, life, and hustling to survive, “Relentless Vol. 1” is popping up on playlists for cruising around town, banging on the dance floor, and simply chilling out. It has it all.
The single “Come From” represents all that is great about Casino Cuz’O and more. Featuring MOK, the single is smooth storytelling that gives off a vibe making you want more. The music video was shot by Urban M. Visuals & Bo Pro Visuals, which contrasts life’s good and bad sides – hard times and pushing your way out for success.
While he is heating up on all streaming platforms from “Come From,” Hollywood has come calling. He recently wrote and recorded a song featured in a Tubi movie. Clearly, Casino Cuz’O has not boxed himself in as just a hip-hop artist. He is an entertainer.
In addition to writing and performing, Casino Cuz’O is a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He designed and created a fashion apparel line for people of all ages and walks of life. Additionally, he owns an auto-detailing business and can be found working on cars when he’s not hustling in the studio.
Being the second oldest of five boys and four girls, Casino Cuz’O grew up on the Lower East Side of Detroit in Black Bottom during the 1980s. From an early age, he turned to music and quickly fell in love. Today, he is taking his love of music and sharing it with listeners across the globe.
“I stand on everything I believe in. I just want to spread more love and peace, so I can leave my mark on this world before I have to leave it,” he explained. “So, sit back and enjoy the ride (because) it’s gonna be a beautiful journey.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Just making sure I take the good with the bad and live in the moment.
I have to remind myself daily that things are not in my control and just make the best of every moment.
Just try not to be that hard on me and take my time. Also, make sure I I’m taking the right amount of time for myself so I don’t burn out.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My artist’s name is casinocuzo. I am a motivator. I am a walking inspiration and I take pride in showing love, compassion, forgiveness, and understanding I take time to believe in the process I listen to the inter-voice when it tells me to stay and when it tells me to go. I have done red-carpet events I have done multiple interviews with professional content creators.
I have a clothing line in which multiple people from different walks of life have supported all the way from Detroit Michigan to Las Vegas to California to New York to Minnesota to all over the world. But my greatest accomplishment was never giving up on myself, and what I believed in.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
It doesn’t matter what you do in this world make sure you find yourself first know what makes you tick to know what makes you happy no what makes you say no what gives you dry to keep pushing the biggest mentor that I have learned with self and finding my inner peace with my higher power, once you find that everything else will become simpler.
