Today we’d like to introduce you to Agony In The Living Room
Hi Agony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We started in the summer of 2024, with a couple of us having talked about starting a band for over two years. Finally, our now drummer reached out to establish the band for real. Bringing a couple extra friends together, the five-piece was born in the form of Agony In The Living Room.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So far it’s been quite the fun experience. But the hardest part has been locking in and reaching out to venues and keeping up with band promotion. But since we are still quite new to the game, we are still figuring out what is best for us.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The marriage of music styles that we have incorporated into our sound has been quite the special experience. We all come from different musical backgrounds, with contrasting but some similarities. We are proud of where we are at so far. With a few shows in the books, and several more on the way already. With one single released and an EP on the way, we are loving the experience so far!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
All five of us have special memories of playing music. For example, our keyboardist has fond memories of learning to play piano for his grandmother. Our guitarist’s father has been playing the drums his entire childhood, and served as a great influence musically.
