Meet Amy Wieser Willson of Neon Loon Communications

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Wieser Willson.

Hi Amy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been a writer. When I was still in elementary school, I was writing my own stories and poetry to gift to family members. That love continued through college into journalism and military public affairs and now with my own small agency, where I’m fortunate to be able to continue to tell my clients’ stories under the umbrella of Neon Loon Communications.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing worth achieving seems to come on a smooth or direct path. One of my biggest struggles was deciding when to make the leap to self-employment. It’s scary losing a steady paycheck and benefits. Once I took that big step, though, only success has followed, which has been affirming for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of Neon Loon Communications. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Neon Loon Communications serves small businesses with primarily B2B marketing and public relations services. We look for the stories that need to be told for our clients and their businesses to elevate them in the marketplace. Our services span the gamut, including media relations, social media management, video production, advertising, SEM, SEO, website production, professional presentations, brand development, press releases, and so forth. We’re proud to be a woman-owned and veteran-owned business.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We’re beginning to see a shift in how AI can impact businesses. While I’m skeptical it will ever be able to replace a good writer, who gathers independent information and crafts it into a well-told story, it has its place in communications. Already, AI is helping with digital advertising, allowing us to easily revise campaigns and update content to perform better within the existing algorithms.
