Meet Brittney Yares

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Yares.

Hi Brittney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started 6 years ago when a friend asked me to help him frame a basement. It was so fun, satisfying and rewarding in many ways, I wanted to frame more basements. We framed a few more basements, then was given the opportunity to frame a whole home(After starting BrittneyKate Builds and obtaining my contractors license). Over the years, homes turned into townhomes, townhomes to apartments and now whole complexes & developments. I love the hustle and bustle of the industry and couldn’t stop there. I started Neat N Clean Co. a few years ago after gaining more knowledge and developing an amazing network. (Neat N Clean Co. is a commercial and residential cleaning company). I have continued on to obtain my real estate license (in 2021)and start BrittneyKate Properties over the last year. I have a thirst for knowledge and opportunity, the sky is the limit!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As you can imagine, it was pretty challenging to break into the industry as a female construction worker. I worked as hard and fast as I could to make a name for myself and show that gender doesn’t matter. I continue to fight these industry standards to this day.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m most known for my framing work with BKB(BrittneyKate Builds). My crews are the best and have unsurpassed production. I’m most proud of all the people that make up the BrittneyKate companies. We have tackled & successfully completed some huge projects. I’m very thankful for all the hard workers that I have on my team and my crews.

Fun Fact- I also foster and rescue dogs for Underdog Rescue. We usually have anywhere from 8-12 dogs at our home, that we are trying to rehabilitate and find forever homes for.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Be compassionate. And that the show must go on!
