Today we’d like to introduce you to Brogan Evenstad And Megan Radosevich.
Hi Brogan Evenstad and Megan Radosevich, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself and tell us how you both met:
Brogan: Oh my goodness, so happy to be here! Megan and I met when we worked at an agency at the same time, and crossed paths periodically. At that time, Megan also worked part time at a private practice in town. I was scheduled to shadow Megan when I was completing my post-graduate internship/practicum. I shadowed Megan at the private practice, which was incredibly different from the agency environment. I looked out the window and said “7 year plan…my 7 year plan is to open my own private practice.” In May of 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, I woke up to an instagram DM from Megan basically asking if I’d like to turn that 7 year plan into a 3 year plan! And the rest is history!
How we got to where we are today: The next thing we knew…was nothing. Haha. We figured we’d need to come up with a name first, but that was about all we knew for sure. From were what felt like 57 dinner dates, even more coffee dates, always with numerous notebooks sprawled out around us filled with pages and pages of inspiration, vision boards, and questions we needed to find the answers to. And we did.
Megan: To take off where Brogan left off, we opened January 2, 2021 and were working from my kitchen table, as the renovations to our space weren’t quite complete. We researched and planned out our business structure, plan, and goals until we got dizzy. Friends delivered coffees, pizzas, and we started seeing clients of our own the following week. A few short months later, our landlord shared he had more space in our building to offer! It was the easiest decision to add to our squad, so we began hiring. From that point forward, things have really fallen into place really nicely as far as growth goes. Not that we haven’t had our fair share of hurdles and hiccups, but we are very grateful that this space has allowed us to expand with new providers year after year, overtaking almost the entire second and third floor of the 300 First Building.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Brogan: Smooth….ya know…*we both laugh*
Megan: I’m going to be a little sappy and speak to the partnership that Brogan and I have that has aided in the success and smooth progression of the business. When an opportunity or tough business decision is presented, we both bring unique perspectives, yet are almost always on the exact same page. When it comes to the daily tasks, we automatically fill in each other’s blanks and tag team projects without even having to really plan it out. We just do it and it works! I feel like when I hear the word “struggle,” the big elephant of private practice in the room is always insurance. And that’s all I will say about that:)
Brogan: *tears welling up*. Throughout this entire process (currently speaking, too) Megan and I have had this “known” between us, like no matter how many questions there were, we could find the answers. I think we both feed off of each other’s confidence when our own is lacking. When emotions and stress creep in, it’s easy to get overwhelmed for a second, but whenever that happens, one of us is always able to ground the other. It never fails that when one of us is feeling all the feels, the other is able to bring peace of mind, comfort, and confidence. And those roles switch constantly, it’s such a beautiful thing, truly!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our mission is partnering with individuals to help them move Onward WITH their pain, depression, anxiety, trauma, conflict, past, etc, and not become stuck or weighed down by it. The ability to move Onward alongside one’s adversity is both powerful, hopeful, and promotes introspective growth. We engage in collaborative partnerships in hopes of digging inward, and moving Onward with new insight, by owning emotions, experiences, and reaching self-actualization. We recognize that our clients have the tools they need within themselves to change, reach acceptance, or to take their first step forward. We work with our clients to evoke these tools within, and to help identify how they can use their own strengths toward their own progress, rather than focus on pathology and shortcomings. We offer unconditional positive regard in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. We also pride ourselves on incorporating creative methods of making therapeutic progress comforting, yet challenging.
A Message to Our Clients: We want to walk in stride with you. Though, not only to explore new ways to overcome struggles, but to help you discover your inner strength and inherent potential, increasing insight, confidence, and hope as you navigate through life.
