Meet Chris Hanson of Fargo – Moorhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Hanson.

Hi Chris, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Our family loves camping. For years, our family of 6 camped in two tents. We have visited 18 different national parks and countless state parks. 2 things we always hated were 1) Rain/stuff getting wet and 2) Uncomfortable hot sleeping. So this summer, we decided to take care of both problems by purchasing a Teardrop camper. It sleeps my wife and me on a tri-fold mattress. It’s got a galley kitchen and air conditioner and can be plugged in for full power. We also started renting it out this summer to help others with the same peeves of tent camping.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
We missed out on a couple of trips for us and rentals. We put the deposit down on the Lite Camper in September 2021. It was supposed to be ready on May 1st, 2022, but delays pushed that back to mid-June.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work full-time as a morning show radio host and love a good side hustle. On top of that, I’ve been a distributor for Bison Coolers (out of Ft. Worth, TX), started a t-shirt selling business, and now have the Bisonte Superior Lite Camper rentals. My parents always had odd jobs on top of their regular jobs, which have been passed on to me. It’s a great opportunity to use a different part of my brain and supplement our other camping, biking, hunting, and fishing habits.
