Meet Ivy Battle of Ivy League Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivy Battle.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I always wanted to model but truly felt like I didn’t have the support or drive to really pursue it. But since I am great at capturing other people and their special moments on camera, I decided to extend my passion to photography to see if I like and or if I am good at it. And guess what? I’m pretty good. In the near future, I will have my official styling business where I combine my love for fashion and my passion for photography – taking pictures of the work/outfits I have created.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far so good. The first year I started taking pictures of my best friend since she wanted to start her portfolio with modeling. It slowly turned into me getting hired for events like birthday parties and baby showers. Now we fast forward to this year’s March, God blessed me with an opportunity to be in an all women’s photography studio ( Shoutout to Alex Monson with Fxstudios).

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Ivy League Photography is my photography business where I deliver quality photos with quality service. Currently, I am still trying to find my niche, but I am willing to try anything my clients bring to me. But I think I am pretty good at capturing events far as gender reveals and baby showers. What sets me apart from others are the clear and clean photos I present at the end of editing and plus my vibe once we’re in the studio is just unmatched! Honestly, I am just proud of my growth within the last year, far as my editing and picture-taking skills.

How do you think about luck?
I had started a lip care business and I was totally unmotivated, totally overwhelmed and add a little sessional depressing doing everything by myself and for myself – (bad luck if you call it) I switched over to photography and its been nothing but positive vibes and genuine support from those are me. I have been booked and busy ever since. – good luck!
