HGM MUSIC GROUP was founded by a female Artist/Producer/Label owner (J25) Jezelle Childs-Evans Native American & Chickasaw Nation citizen. While striving as a solo artist to get a big break in the music industry, J25 noticed that there was a lack of Indigenous presence in the industry. In May 2020, J25 decided to form an all Native American Record Company to help showcase more talent coming from Indian Reservations worldwide. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
HGM MUSIC GROUP’s road to success has had its share of up and downs, but through it all, we continue to work hard, stay consistent, and dedicated. What we are trying to achieve is bigger than music. We do this for the Indigenous communities worldwide. It’s important that we stay grounded and represent our craft and culture in a good way.

HGM MUSIC GROUP is the largest Native American record company in the world and the only record label based out of Wisconsin.
We specialize in Indigenous Hip-Hop. Our music is based on traditions, culture and issues like MMIW crisis, protecting our water from hazardous pipeline companies. We also speak up against drugs and alcohol and violence in the indigenous community. What sets us apart from other artists and record labels, is that I made our own lane and genre of music and we did it Independently without a major label distributor.
Our HGM brand is authentic and our goal is to inspire people worldwide to chase their dreams, stay on a good path in life, and know that they can be successful.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important quality to us, is that we focus on my making good quality music. We don’t worry about the money or fake that comes with the music industry. It’s all about our fans and supporters, being humble, and continuing to work hard so that we can be in a to help our youth and elders on the reservations.
