Hi Julie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In January 2021, I was working full-time as a new mom and running a side hustle doing Beachbody and it was A LOT. I was always frustrated that I couldn’t find a planner that fit all my needs from a business and personal perspective so over vacation while getting away from the cold in Minnesota I sat down and designed my first planner, for me. I was able to fit my professional and side hustle needs in one planner. I spoke about what I was doing on social media and multiple individuals messaged me and said “I need this too!” and that’s how a business was born.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve helped so many businesswomen organize and put a system to their lives that makes sense for them. They are no longer forced to fit their life into their planner, they are able to build their planner around their life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I continue to be the breadwinner for my family with a full-time corporate job which means this road hasn’t been easy. It’s late nights and weekends but the joy and relief in helping create a system for my clients make it all worth it. It’s been hard to source materials and find businesses that are willing to work with me for printing for small orders since everyone is short-staffed. Materials are constantly out of stock and I’m always having to pivot but that feels like the life of a small business.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create custom paper planners for women who own small businesses, have side hustles, or generally juggle all the things as a mom. I’m here, as someone in their shoes, to consult and find a system that works for them. The planner is then able to grow and change as their business or life grows and changes. Each one is unique and built exactly to its unique needs.
