Meet Kimberly Von Bank of Kimberly Von Bank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Von Bank.

Hi Kimberly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up on a farm in a small town in central North Dakota with majority of my time being spent with my twin sister, Stephanie, and my older brother, Marc. Some of my favorite childhood memories are being outdoors—building forts in the trees, riding bikes through our trails in the sunflower fields, and spending countless hours exploring nature. We also loved playing basketball in the driveway and at our grandparents’ quonset. Looking back, I realize those early years gave me a deep appreciation for the connection between people and the spaces they live in.

After high school and college, my husband, Mitch, and I began building our life together in Fargo. With my Mitch’s career change, we moved to Great Falls, Montana then to several towns in North Dakota before eventually settling back in the Fargo area, where we’ve now lived for more than 25 years while we raised our family. Micah, Royce, Cameron & his wife Courtney, and our granddaughter, Elzay, are our pride and joys!

Throughout my career, I’ve worn many different hats. I worked at a credit union, taught kindergarten, and later served as the office manager for my husband and his partner’s business, Burnn Boiler & Mechanical Inc. Each role taught me something valuable about organization, relationships, and supporting others.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In 2001, I lost my brother, and navigating that grief changed me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. Over the years, I carried emotional pain while continuing to push forward with work, family, and the responsibilities of everyday life.

Then, in March of 2020, I experienced severe back pain that became impossible to ignore. I had pushed myself for so long that my body was demanding my attention. At one point, the pain was so intense that I had to lie on the floor just to eat because sitting in a chair was too painful. Looking back, I realized that I had ignored, and I was so disconnected from my body. I just kept pushing and pushing while in pain combined with not eating well or exercising regularly. I was at an all point low when it started affecting our friend and family plans. I wasn’t able to go along to the lake which is something I absolutely loved.

I never set out to start a healing business. I was simply searching for healing myself. When someone suggested I try Reiki, I was open to the experience, and it became the beginning of a completely unexpected journey. Reiki opened the door to a deeper understanding of the connection between emotional well-being, our physical bodies, and then even to the environments we live in. The healing path eventually led me to study space clearing and also Feng Shui.

Those experiences transformed my life and inspired the work I do today. It is a privilege to help others with their healing journeys and creating spaces that support peace, healing, and a deeper connection to themselves.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kimberly Von Bank?
My business is my name, Kimberly Von Bank, is centered around helping people creating greater peace, clarity, and harmony in both their lives and in their home and work spaces. When our energy and our environment feels out of harmony, we often feel tired, stressed, stagnant, and overwhelmed. We might have trouble sleeping or maybe having more agruments in our household. We didn’t grow up learning about our personal energy and the relationship we have with our environment. I realized the importance and how our environments affect us and we affect our environment. I see the need, so that is what I am fulfilling with my business.

I offer Reiki sessions, both in person and remotely, for those seeking relaxation, stress relief, renewal, and clarity. Alongside Reiki, I also provide in-person and remote reiki sessions and space clearings. I find joy in helping clients create homes and workplaces that feel more supportive, welcoming, and aligned with the life they want to live.

I especially enjoy providing services for wellness practitioners and their healing spaces. By clearing stagnant energy and creating an aligned envirnoment through space clearing and Feng Shui, I help support, calm, and renew the space. This can enhance the healing experience for everyone who enters the room.

Whether we’re focusing on personal well-being through Reiki or transforming the energy and flow of a home or work space through a space clearing or Feng Shui, my goal is the same—to help people feel lighter, more grounded, and more connected. I believe our internal well-being and our surroundings influence one another, and when we intentionally care for both, positive change often follows.

I’m also excited to begin a new chapter as part of the Carlton & Co. team and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services realtor, Amber Carlton. It feels like a natural extension of my work, allowing me to support people during one of life’s biggest transitions. Whether someone is settling into a new home, preparing to sell, or creating a fresh start, I’m passionate about helping people find and create a space that feels like home.

“Access is Yours”, I say. We all have the ability to heal, and I help others access their ability to heal.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I want to acknowledge my husband, Mitch. While I invested countless hours learning, growing, and healing, he quietly made so much of this possible. He has provided for our family, giving me the time to study, train, and then pursue my business. Putting his talents to work, he welded me a plague for my office of my name as well as a beautiful glass and metal sales table for my office.

I want to also acknowledge our sons and the rest of my family and friends. Their encouragement and support has carried me through and through. My mentors, Jodie Harvala and Tiff Johnson, helped me with with support and guidance. Lastly, I want to give thanks for my wonderful clients who have given the opportunity for me to collaborate with them on their healing journeys. They are why I do what I do, and they bring me joy while doing it!

I am so grateful for all of these people in my life!!!
