Hi Laura, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started RoundWreath in 2020 because I was extremely disappointed with the selection, quality, and prices of wreaths at big box stores and could not bring myself to spend hundreds of dollars for custom wreaths online.
As a teacher on leave during Covid, I joined the millions of people that had time to pick up new hobbies and invest in their creative outlets. For me, I became obsessed with wreaths. I started making unique wreaths and discovered that friends and family were interested in what I was creating too! Before long, I was receiving custom wreath orders, gift orders, and even corporate orders!
My hubby and I had dreams of starting a family-owned business, so we decided that wreaths were going to be our avenue. This was not going to be an Etsy shop but a fully owned and operated nationwide business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Tell me of a business that opened on time, was under budget, and had no roadblocks. It doesn’t happen. Unfortunately, the ripple effects of Covid have been our most significant obstacle. Our inventory is taking at least 5 months to get to us which initially delayed our grand opening but we were able to find solutions and push forward.
I am so thankful for my business partner…my husband Tyler. He has kept us solution-minded every step of the way and keeps us focused on our higher goals.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The Twin Cities is a gem at the center of our country. I have proudly been a Minnesotan my whole life and consider it a blessing to be surrounded by such talented, kind-hearted, passionate, and hard-working people in Minnesota.
I am so happy that our children are receiving an award-winning education and have been given countless growth opportunities in sports and fine arts. My hope is that all children in the Twin Cities can receive equal opportunities and the best possible tools and mentorships to become self-aware, kind, and involved citizens of the future. (Can you tell I used to be a teacher?)
