Hi Lindsey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
A few years ago, I found myself at a crossroads in my career. I was burnt out and knew I needed to reset my path to grow creatively, feel value in what I was doing, and ultimately live with a healthier work-life balance.
I felt the only way this would be possible was to start a business. I saw the value in the skillsets I offered and knew I could help other organizations, but I also feared failure. Ultimately I reached a place where the need for empowerment outweighed fear, and I took the leap to start Fraîche Studio.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my first few months at a business, my largest obstacle was imposter syndrome. I would tell myself there are other people with more experience, agencies with higher-profile clients, and other more impressive portfolios. Will businesses even want to work with me?
I was lucky enough to have made great connections in my previous jobs, and the referrals they gave kickstarted Fraîche Studio. Within six months, I was steady with satisfied clients and had new inquiries consistently coming in.
Slowly, my confidence picked up, and the doubts about starting a business were replaced with knowing it was the best decision I ever made.

Fraîche Studio answers a need I consistently see in small businesses.
Marketing is a big word. So many pieces fall under its umbrella, and I think marketing can often be misunderstood or undervalued in small organizations. If a business isn’t large enough to dedicate an entire department to marketing, it often falls into the lap of someone with little to no prior experience or simultaneously juggles other important aspects of the business. The other solution is traditionally hiring a large agency whose scope and price was far beyond that of the small business.

I am so lucky to be surrounded by my supportive partner, friends, and family members who have cheered me on while I built Fraîche Studio. In the months leading up to its launch, I often doubted myself. It was their encouragement and words of affirmation that reminded me of what I was capable of.
I also have to recognize the professional connections I have made throughout my career and the enormous value they have brought to my business. Whether it is previous co-workers, supervisors, or other connections, they have regularly promoted Fraîche Studio and referred many of my current clients.
