Today we’d like to introduce you to Marne Skusa
Hi Marne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello! Well I feel as if my entire life has led me to be a healer! I attended the Aveda Institute Massage and Day Spa program straight out of high school at 18 years old, although I had no idea how far that initial step would take me. As far as I can remember I have believed in the body’s ability to heal itself, at first on a physical level, years later on emotional and mental levels. I’ve had to heal myself physically from numerous car accidents and injuries, as well as emotionally, mentally, and spiritually from religious trauma. Religion has been around me since the day I was born, but my initial experience was quite harsh, being raised in a religious cult and all. It has taken years to heal from that programming and relearn spirituality in its true sense. My goal at Prajna Den is to meet and assist people on their own journey of healing. The mind, body, and spirit are deeply interwoven, each part requiring attention to create a true state of joy and homeostasis.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Soooo many struggles. Sometimes it feels as if it has been one giant struggle. Haha. But what is life without struggle? The struggles are our teachers! We would not appreciate the calm without storm. We would not appreciate the highs without the lows. When I am faced with a disappointment or roadblock, I address it with a “thank you.” Thank you divine obstacle for showing me what I need to change. What I need to address in myself. What I need to let go of because it is not longer serving my highest good. A major struggle of mine has been living my entire adult life without my parents. And then raising my child as a 100% single parent for the last 13 years. Over the last few years I have been able to zoom out, way out, and really see what the lessons have been and why it has been this way. Everything is a teacher. Showing gratitude for the lessons makes the process a whole lot easier. Just keep going!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Prajna is Sanskrit for an eternal growing wisdom. This idea is at the core of Prajna Den.
Prajna Den encapsulates many healing modalities into one cohesive session. It is really unlike anything I have seen or experienced in MN, or anywhere really. In the Quantum Massage Ceremony, we go into the Quantum Field setting up a healing vessel, connecting the client with their highest frequencies from their timelines. Pranic Energy Healing and chakra clearing is done, followed by a full body massage, either therapeutic or Ashiatsu. Ashiatsu Massage is a massage using the practitioners feet, stabilizing themselves using two parallel bars above the table. I am an inter-dimensional channeler, accessing different beings and realms and ancestors which sometimes make an appearance during the massage. I also frequently bring in light language. Light language is a channeled multi-dimensional language which brings sound and energy from spirit into the physical. Light language brings through powerful vibrations and codes that support us to process shifts in consciousness, release deeply held blockages and brings us in touch with our truth.
Quantum healing is for every body. You just need a willing heart. I am excited to be soon offering Akashic ceremonies in the coming months.
I will be leading a Light Language Activation session at Interbeing 08- Woodland Creatures Conference in Finlayson, MN. September 20-22. Come check it out!
Prajna Den hosts events with other healers and practitioners in Excelsior! Check the website for latest events and yoga classes.
On Sunday, October 27 I will be hosting a Day Retreat at the Masonic Lodge in downtown Excelsior with two other practitioners. We will be doing some journaling, movement, breath work, and singing bowl healing. Followed by a sauna + cold plunge on Lake Minnetonka. 9:30am-3pm. Coffee, tea, and lunch provided.
Check out the website www.prajnaden.com/events for registration and more info!
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
-I love to dance! I was made to dance. I one time danced for 16 hours straight, in which time I rolled my ankle. My excursions of climbing Angkor Wat were cut short due to the injury.
-I am a huge advocate of composting! Composting reduces methane admissions by landfills and just makes sense.
-Each month I donate a portion of Prajna Den profits to various charities. I’m a major fangirl of Kiss the Ground charity. They’re all about regeneration and healthy soil. Healthy soil means healthy food means a healthy gut!
-I lived in Thailand for four years
