Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Lemon (Fancy).
We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in a music group called probable cause I went solo in 2009 and I started working on projects under the name southside fancy where I have done many videos and collaborations and traveled the world and was blessed to lead my vision in my diary of my life brought to life on mini stage stages across the world 2009 I opened up my first beauty supply in South Minneapolis and from there I started a charity called we are the future for the youth we did a lot of events where we helped with the book bags for students going back to school and also would take families out of the shelter and give them a Christmas party and gifts.
I always found myself having more joy out of giving back to the community in 2021 I was honored to do a senior citizen spa day makeover for Christmas. That ideal got me a Tuesday at rondo Adult Day Center where I hold my own spa day for senior citizens that are 55 and up it’s free as long as you have medical insurance.
I spend most of my days at my beauty supply Fancys Beauty Bar located in Saint Paul Minnesota where I enjoy talking with the community and being a community-based beauty supply
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well one of the things that I had to overcome Was believing in myself I have been through things that would’ve made the average person give up but I never gave up on myself I was told the most high gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors. I have been through a lot of different hateful situations a lot of click bullying. What I have learned is to focus on the positive And lead with love.

How do you define success?
I am proud to be a business owner I am proud that I am breaking generation curses my success comes from my humbleness and me being able to heal from all of the trauma I have been through. Willing to give more than I receive in the Golden rule of life is treating people how you wanna be treated
