Today we’d like to introduce you to Maya Harris and Lillie Rosen. Them and their team share their story with us below:
During the pandemic, Maya introduced her admiration for plants to Lillie. Lillie was furloughed and Maya was teaching from home so we took our passion to Instagram. Because of Instagram, we met amazing people in the plant community. One being our local grower. He (David) was having a plant sale in his backyard that immediately sparked the idea for PlantyQueens. We quickly reached out to David with the thought and then built a website on Lillie’s couch and it is all history from there.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been its ups and downs, the large bumps in the road were covid and the test it took on our friendship. Building a business together during the pandemic was stressful enough but doing it with your best friend teaches you a lot.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
