Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Happy Place interiors launched in 2016. It’s been so fun to watch how it has evolved so much over the past 10 years. Partly based on a work / life balance and partly what homeowners are looking for in terms of interior design help.
More and more people simply want professional interior design guidance rather than a designer taking the reins and doing everything for them. People want to learn and put their own stamp on their home. These are the types of people we work with.
Instead of the conventional interior design business model, Happy Place Interiors is all about empowering the homeowner to make great choices when it comes to updating, decorating, designing, remodeling or refreshing their home.
Through my consultations, I teach my clients the ins and outs of design and decorating. In addition, I offer online home decorating courses and classes as well as the Happy Place Design Club, which is an online membership in which members have access to a library of courses and monthly meetings with me so they can get specific direction or home decorating questions asked.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Making business decisions can be difficult. But I have surrounded myself with amazing people who inspire and guide me and that helps keep my business on track.

Happy Place Interiors is an award winning interior design firm that has several ways to help homeowners create a space they love to call home—a space that helps them live their best life.
However, our business model is very different from conventional interior designers. We offer interior design consultations, online home decorating courses and classes, and the new Happy Place Design Club, a monthly membership.
What does success mean to you?
Great question!
Success, in my book, is when you wake up each morning and actually love going to work. Love who you work with and love the impact you make. Oh, and of course being able to pay the bills and take vacations help too.
