Meet Paula Brito

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula Brito.

Hi Paula, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hearing many engaged couples lament the limited options available I decided to introduce and share this wonderful Brazilian tradition of bite-size wedding desserts catered to the American palate. I grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and have had a passion for baking since 11 years old.

As I begin reducing my work hours as a Pediatrician after 33 years, I needed an outlet for my energy, passion, and creative drive as well as providing a sheltered workplace for my Autistic teenager and others in a similar situation. With unique options of delicious flavors, styles, high-quality ingredients, handmade edible flowers, and beautiful colors my goal is to make all my clients and their guests enjoy every single bite of my desserts.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Americans do not have the tradition of these wedding desserts but whenever they try them they fall in love with them!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My main career is being as a Pediatrician for the past 33 years but, as mentioned previously, my other passion is baking. I specialize in bite-size wedding desserts that are unique since it is a tradition in Brazil, not in America, decorated with sugar paste handmade flowers. My key lime pie is famous but honestly, everybody raves about all my desserts. My favorite is the peanut butter or the coconut one.

What does success mean to you?
Being able to reach my business goals makes my clients and their guests extremely satisfied and happy!
