Hi Raven, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – To start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Thank you for taking the time. It’s a privilege to be here and to be featured in VoyageMinnesota Magazine. Indigos Haven embarked on its journey as a personal quest, driven by my desire to find a sense of belonging, enlightenment, and spiritual connection. It all started with my pursuit of truth and unity through the practices of manifestation and ritual. As this dream took root within my mind, body, and spirit, the physical manifestation of Indigos Haven followed swiftly. Initially, we opened our doors part-time in 2022, but as of June 2023, we’ve expanded our hours to welcome visitors five days a week. I’m proud to say that we now have a dedicated team of beautiful souls who contribute in diverse and meaningful ways.
A significant milestone in our journey was our official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce on 6/22/2023, marking the grand re-opening of our store and the celebration of our extended hours. This event held particular significance for us, given that we are a small spiritual shop with distinctive ideas, nestled in the warm embrace of a welcoming small town. Indigos Haven is situated in the charming town of Monticello, Minnesota. It was conceived as a safe and inviting space for individuals on their unique spiritual journeys. Our store offers an array of items, including crystals, books, ritual tools, tarot and oracle decks, jewelry, and more – all designed to support and honor each person’s spiritual odyssey.
In addition to our carefully curated offerings, we also feature handmade metaphysical products and eclectic art, both crafted by ourselves and by talented, spiritually minded local artists. Indigos Haven goes beyond being just a spiritual boutique; we strive to provide an open-minded sanctuary where everyone can feel safe, welcome, and free from judgment. Our services include Tarot and Oracle readings, Astrology Charting and Counseling, and Manifestation Coaching. Excitingly, we are in the process of expanding our team, with our first Reiki Healer and our first Intuitive Healer joining us at the end of September of this year.
We have another exciting new avenue on the horizon as well, set to be announced in early winter this year. In addition to my work at Indigos Haven, I am also an ordained wedding minister. Although this is a separate entity from the store, it is intertwined with the services we offer to our cherished clients. As an ordained minister, I am dedicated to honoring all traditions, belief systems, and love – as well as providing handfasting ceremonies. Our overarching vision for Indigos Haven is to provide a refuge that exists beyond the confines of the everyday modern world. A space where one can reconnect with themselves, discover their true calling, and expand their thoughts, spirit, and life experiences. As our logo states, we are here to help others “find their true life’s path.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey with Indigos Haven has largely been a smooth one, though not without its fair share of ups and downs, unexpected expansions, and moments of pause that sometimes felt like challenges. We choose to view these challenges as guidance and opportunities to pivot in ways that better serve our store, our community, and humanity as a whole.
There have certainly been instances of trial and error, as we learn to navigate the intricacies of running a business that prioritizes connection and growth, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The pace of our growth has been organic and sometimes required patience, but we trust in the Universe’s ultimate timeline.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My professional background primarily lies in clinical counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota, and I still actively practice as an independent part of a local clinic. I hold deep respect and love for this area of my work. However, I felt a calling to reach people through alternative and unique means as well.
Indigos Haven offers me a path where I can creatively and spiritually connect with others, utilizing my passions that I’ve spent years mastering and integrating into my life. Spiritual practices have spoken to me intermittently throughout my life. My deep connection with Tarot and Oracle, Astrology, and Manifestation, along with other forms of divination and ritual, stretches back to my earliest memories.
When these practices resurfaced in my life about five years ago, as a means of helping and connecting with others and with myself, I answered the call wholeheartedly. I dedicated two years to studying these divinatory arts, on top of the many years throughout my life of study in these areas. Then I weaved them into every aspect of my life. This profound exploration sowed the seeds of Indigos Haven and opened new avenues in my personal journey. I take immense pride in the feedback we receive from those who have engaged with our services and visited the store.
Overwhelmingly, our client’s express feeling honored, seen, and as if they’ve finally found a place where they belong; a place they feel they can call home. This, to me, is the highest form of success. My hope is that every individual who interacts with myself and all those at Indigos Haven, leaves feeling more empowered, seen, honored, and at a higher vibration than before they entered.
What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is a deeply personal and subjective concept. I believe it encompasses a sense of completeness and authenticity, which is then extended to others in a way that honors both oneself and them. It involves making meaningful contributions to self, others, and the community, with the ultimate goal of uplifting the collective human experience in whatever small ways we can.
Success is a palpable vibration that is felt when people enter our space and immediately feel a sense of “home.” We have had an outpouring of support from those who have sensed the intentions behind the inception of Indigos Haven, for which we are grateful daily, and that, to us, embodies success.
