Today we’d like to introduce you to Rayn Nachreiner.
Hi Rayn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2020, I was gifted a $150 Sony Camera for Christmas. I had never picked up a camera or knew how to work a camera, although I always had a thought to start. In 8th grade, I wrote a paper on what I wanted to be when I grew up, and it was a Photographer, so that is crazy! I started taking pictures of my friends and family for fun, and after a few months, I enjoyed this little hobby. At this point and time in my life during covid, I was dealing with some major depression. I wasn’t sure what I was doing in life, and now I felt I had a purpose. I started educating myself, purchasing new gear, and doing online seminars and workshops. I started taking it more seriously as time passed, and everything was happening so fast that I didn’t know what I was doing. I kept pushing myself. Eventually, I turned this hobby into my full-time job. Fast forward to 2023, and I have now traveled to Colorado, Texas, New York, and Honduras for this career, and I am focusing on couples, elopements, and weddings. I only regret that I wish I had started much sooner because I love meeting new people, turning clients into friends, and capturing those moments for my clients. I truly believe that this is my calling in life.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles I’ve encountered along the way have been starting up my business (LLC), learning how to market myself on social media platforms, keeping afloat through Covid, and editing was also one of the hardest parts of Photography for me to learn. I’ve learned to go with the flow and take it daily!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a self-taught photographer. Currently, I specialize in Weddings, Elopements, and Couples. I went full force with weddings and now am fully booked with weddings until the end of this year, and next year I am almost fully booked! I am also focusing on travel/destination weddings. I would say something I stand by and am most proud of is the fact that I never have and still haven’t given up despite the hardships I’ve encountered over the past 2 and a half years. I’m proud that I’ve built something on my own. I believe what sets me apart from others is my personality. I can make my clients, or anyone, feel comfortable around me. I act like myself and show up for my clients. I communicate extremely well. My editing style is also very unique!
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is making sure my clients are always satisfied. Before I leave my sessions, I always say, “are you satisfied?” And it’s become a habit. My family, 3 sisters, and friends are also significant to me!
