Hi Ruslan , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey as an MC began about 10 years ago, when a couple from my church asked me to host their wedding. At the time, I was already deeply involved in kids and teen ministry—always striving to create experiences that were not only well-organized and meaningful, but also genuinely fun.
A few years later, my wife dared me to start an Instagram page to share more of what I was doing. At first, I hesitated. The idea of coming up with a stage name felt awkward and unnecessary. But then, one evening while editing an episode of The What, Why, and How Can I? Podcast with my producer David, I accidentally mispronounced the word “evangelist.” And just like that, my stage name was born.
Since then, I’ve discovered a true passion for MCing—especially weddings. There’s something incredibly special about being part of the happiest moment in someone’s life. I don’t take that lightly. Every celebration is an opportunity to bring joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a smooth road filled with incredible opportunities. I’ve had the chance to meet so many amazing people and loving couples across the United States. Each event has been a unique honor and a reminder of how meaningful this work truly is.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I was born in Ukraine and brought to the United States at the age of two. Even though I grew up here, many of the things I do—especially when it comes to weddings—are deeply influenced by Ukrainian culture. Our celebrations are known for being interactive, energetic, and filled with meaningful traditions. From cultural ceremonies to fun games and group activities, I aim to create an experience that includes everyone: the couple, the guests, and the entire bridal party.
I specialize in MCing weddings and events where energy, coordination, and joy are essential. I’m known for bringing people together—keeping things organized, making the room laugh, and helping every moment feel special. One thing that truly sets my work apart is the intentional blending of cultures. Some of my favorite weddings have been mixed-culture events where we integrate different traditions, get to know new families, and create something uniquely beautiful.
What makes me proud brand-wise is the reputation for excellence, warmth, and authenticity. Clients know they’re not just hiring an MC—they’re inviting someone who’s invested in the entire experience. I’m hands-on, prepared, and always ready to help things go smoothly behind the scenes so the spotlight can stay on the couple.
