Sacad Guled is the founder of Coherent Bus Company, a school bus transportation company that is dedicated to getting students to and from their destination(s) in a safe and punctual manner. Sacad has established his reputation as a transparent, no nonsense, go-getter with a proven work ethic for building relationships with parents, schools, staff, and students. Within only a few years of launch, Coherent Bus Company has quickly grown a profitable brand with a full time team of 60 employees, 7 schools and lifelong connections.
Sacad holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Keller Graduate school of management and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Not many business owners can say they’re on the entrepreneurial journey to reshape the lives of the youth and create a sense of hope for families in need. Sacad is currently very devoted to motivating and inspiring upcoming generations to take risks, ask those hard questions to get ahead in life, and live with no regrets. It has been a long-time dream to touch hearts and souls of the next Generation for Sacad, and he’s turning into reality with Coherent Bus Company.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Twenty some years ago, as a young child, Sacad Guled made the courageous and risky decision to escape the civil war occurring in Mogadishu, Somalia, and arrived to the United States, specifically Minneapolis Minnesota, with nothing but a few bucks and an everlasting innovative/ entrepreneurial spirit.
His father was an educator, so from a very young age he vowed to help his community and make something of himself, and to do that, he understood that education was a key. Although he didn’t have the smoothest transition into entrepreneurship and had a plethora of obstacles standing in his way, he knew there would be light at the end of a very dark tunnel. This was America, the land of opportunity, so it wouldn’t be that hard … right? Wrong!
Sacad didn’t wait around wishing his hopes and dreams would be handed to him on a silver platter but instead worked harder than he ever had in his life.
Sacad is a husband, father, President of Coherent Bus company, and Coherent Home Healthcare and other small businesses. If you were to ask his wife what’s one thing Sacad deeply values in life (other than family of course) She would tell you that he is a stickler about routines and a set schedule. When you’re an entrepreneur, it’s vital that you set realistic goals, give yourself a deadline, and promptly execute them!
Sacad says, “When your mind is focused, every goal is possible. Impossible just isn’t in my vocabulary, and it shouldn’t be in yours either.”

Coherent Bus is on the rise. Make room for expansion for sure. The old saying “don’t put all your eggs in one basket” is a vital philosophy for any business therefore our goal is to operate in every state in the future.
Future Proofing Our Company: Prepare For Now And What’s To Come. Looking ahead into the future of our business is crucial. It goes without saying that technology will be front and center of this movement. Markets are known to change, and this is something that matters. Our goal is to make school bus routes more efficient, and safe and become more environmentally cautious by replace all existing diesel buses with electric buses.
So, we will look into investing in these newer products that show promise, especially since it’s part of our business niche.
