Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve and Kristy LaTart.
Hi Steve and Kristy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Steven was laid off very unexpectedly from his job of producing/co-hosting a morning radio show in the Fall of 2020. As a means of coping with the stress of losing a job in the middle of a pandemic, we decided that doing a couples podcast would be a beneficial distraction. We found that creating this space with each other not only helped our marriage but also created an impromptu business venture.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
In a blink not only were we around each other 24/7 because of the job loss, but we are also now working together. A person has to really, really like their partner to spend that much quality time together and have it NOT create a challenge! We are also very different creative minds. What seems like a good show topic for Steve, might not be my cup of tea. We are learning to blend our creativity, but at the same time, lean into our differences.

Our podcast is “It Goes Both Ways”. In it, my husband Steve and I give the listener a peek into our struggles as parents, as husband and wife, as two very different personalities living and working together, with honesty and hilarity with zero regrets. We want anyone who listens to the show to feel seen and heard. We unabashedly put our truth on the table, good and cringe because we know that so many others have or will go through what we are. We want to create an unfiltered community where it’s normal to share the real and raw of everyday life and hopefully, we’ll make you laugh along the way.
