Meet Stevey Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stevey Jackson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, I would say I started off by making comedic videos on Facebook. At the time I was just a young teen just trying to find my way through life and reach my purpose. But it always seemed as if I already knew my purpose all along. Growing up I always used to tell my mom I wanted to be on tv weather it was Disney Channel or Nickelodeon. I guess you can say it’s always been a God given dream of mine. As a kid I danced, sung, act, you name it. I even went as for as to participate in dance classes at a young age and talent shows in elementary school. As I got older and reached the age of 17 I became homeless. It was a tough time for me and through the midst of battling high school and homelessness, I knew I had to find a way.

During that time that’s where I found my love for not only just acting but modeling as well, where I collaborated with a friend by the name of Vasia Johnson as she was pursuing to push her way through the doors of the photography world. I would love to not only thank her, but thank her loving family for taking me in when nobody else would. For giving me a chance when nobody else would, so for that I truly say that they were a big blessing in my life. Through that battle, I couch surfed, slept in a friends car, lost friends, and throughout all of this, I never felt defeated because I always knew who God made me out to be. During that time I signed with a modeling agency in 2018 called Meredith Modeling & Talent Agency, a chance to make my big break!

As years went on the pandemic came and it changed the course of the whole world so much to the point I felt stuck. I wanted to branch off Facebook and explore more places like Instagram, YouTube, etc. I then would run into a social media app called TikTok! I loved the app because not only was there more support there, but I could finally expand my creativity with my art! When I first started my TikTok page my original content contained things that didn’t matter, but as I started doing more skits, I started producing a little following. But as the pandemic started going on I found something that changed my life forever. I found GOD! I then gave my life to Christ around 2020 and ever since then I’ve been complete! Yes the spiritual battle gets me to the point where I wanna give up, but I know I’m one of Jesus’s chosen ones to make a change in this world. As I gave my life to Christ my video content changed and expanded more towards a spreading the gospel/Christian comedy page! I then would accumulate up to 165,000 followers on TikTok reaching me to new heights!

As time went on I reached a huge opportunity to be on a tv show for Snap Originals (Snapchat) called “Reunited” where I shared my story of homelessness and finally reuniting with my blood father! It brung many tears and so much closure to us both. Through this journey I’ve experienced so much! Shout out to Azjaya Martin for giving me a chance with walking my first ever runway show and a chance at producing two fashion shows this year and next! During that time I’ve met so many amazing and like-minded individuals like myself and it was extremely an honor to do something different. Everyday I put God first and I let him lead, because I truly know that without him I’m nothing!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a very smooth road, but I learned to not worry about the bad in life and just continue to focus on the end goal and the positive impact I can make on others with my story.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
1. I am a model/actor/comedian, etc!

2. I would say I mainly specialize in making others laugh/smile and by encouraging others to follow God and see the bigger picture in life and that’s Jesus

3. I’m mostly known for my funny videos/modeling

4. I’m mostly proud of how far I’ve come in all the struggles and obstacle courses I had to face. I feel like that without those struggles I wouldn’t be as humble or more grateful of life than I am right now at this moment

5. What sets me apart from others is I don’t like to be like everybody else or follow the trends that society considers “normal” or “trendy”. Whether it’s dressing up or voicing my opinion, imma always speak truth and my mind.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
1. My views on risk taking varies! Because not every risk you take is always gonna come out with the outcome you are looking for. That’s why guidance/clarity is the necessities to keep pushing forward! But if it feels right always go with your intuition because I promise you it will never fail you!

2. The risks I’ve took was staying in MN by myself to finish high school. I say that because I was only 16/17 and I was facing a very cold and harsh world. But at that age and even younger I always had book smarts & street smarts which got me where I am today.
