Meet Terah Trucano Rinerson of Bare Rhythms

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terah Trucano Rinerson.

Hi Terah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was fortunate to grow up on a farmstead on the hills off of Lake Vermilion, steeped in ancestry—land my family claimed after immigrating from Italy. From my earliest memories, the land itself felt alive. The West Two River flowed nearby, rich with brook trout, and endless woods invited a kind of freedom only nature can offer. That place imprinted itself on my heart; it was where I learned to listen.

Even as a child, I sensed the world differently. I experienced a natural clairvoyance that was difficult to understand at such a young age, as though the land spoke in the voices of ancestors still present. What felt mysterious then became the foundation of my life’s work. As I grew, I learned how to heal—first myself, then others—long before I knew the names of any modalities.

At nineteen, I formally began my journey in Reiki and energy work, eventually completing certifications through the Karuna Reiki Master level. I started humbly, offering sessions to family, then expanded into a small room within a local spa—my first roots in service and intuition. From there, my path widened to include Native and earth-based medicine.

My father passed when I was twenty-seven, his transition became a profound turning point of awareness. Through his passing, I was guided to the new people and teachers who helped shape who I am today. I was blessed with a mentor in Minnesota who introduced me to the Medicine Wheel teachings of the Q’ero lineage from Peru—wisdom that speaks to heal the self, the community, and future generations. These teachings emphasize gentleness, connection to nature, and living in joy. They felt like a long-awaited remembering, a missing piece of my soul—one that moves through life in rhythm and dance.

Through the integration of these modalities, I developed what I call “bridge healing”—meeting people exactly where they are and guiding them toward joy, balance, and self-empowerment. My work is not about fixing others, but supporting and holding space for the inner healing to begin with intution and care.

Today, I serve as a mentor, teacher, and guide, a healer offering a wide range of classes and experiences. Becoming a parent deepened my commitment to these practices and led me into the Q’ero path of becoming a Chakaruna—a bridge healer. Fittingly, that was what Ive been calling my healing sessions all along. A Chakaruna connects others to their true purpose, and I was formally blessed in Cusco by Peruvian medicine carriers to carry this work forward.

Now, I weave together multiple healing traditions, creating spaces where people can come together in community—sharing wisdom, blending gifts, and remembering their innate wholeness. My work is about connection: to self, to nature, to one another—and to the peace and enlightenment that arise when we heal together.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course, my path—especially from who I was as a young girl to who I am today—was not a straight line. It was layered, confusing at times, and deeply transformative. What I can say with certainty is that I was guided through my own healing, shaped by life’s experiences and profound hardships, including the loss of both of my parents. Each challenge, though painful, led me exactly where I was meant to be in this moment.

Growing up in northern Minnesota, it took time to find what many would call your “tribe”—people who love you unconditionally for who you are and what you bring into the world. Learning to trust my inner compass and step fully into my confidence truly accelerated when I joined an International Women’s Leadership group, where I spent six formative years.

In the end, everything aligned. I found what I had been seeking, and today, I can honestly say I am in the best place I could possibly be at this stage of my life.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer Reconnective Therapies, individual/group healing sessions that weave together several modalities, including my signature Bridge Session, Peruvian Chakruna healing infused with meridian unwinding, sound frequency therapy, and native medicine. Each session is intentionally designed to support deep integration, and clients receive personalized feedback to take home—empowering them to continue their self-care and healing beyond our time together.

In addition to one-on-one work, I offer seasonal medicine guidance/sessions walking through the tranistional flow of healing with nature , Q’ero ceremony teaching.
I also provide native space clearings or blessings for everyday environments, including homes, helping to restore balance and harmony to the spaces where we live and gather.

Community collaboration is central to my work. I regularly partner with other practitioners, blending practices such as breathwork and native drumming, and I host wellness expos that bring local healers together. This February 7th, I am co-hosting Tower, Minnesota’s first integrated wellness event—an offering that reflects my commitment to collective healing and connection.

While I work with all ages, I have a special passion for supporting youth; key aspects on mental and emotional support for our future.
In the upper North, I offer a uniquely integrated blend of modalities—and an approach that truly shines a light on healing the whole bodies aspect of this connection to natures natural ways of healing~ letting go and trusting the flow of our lifes journey.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Yes, absolutely. A guiding force on this journey—my “Yoda,” as I lovingly call her—has been Christy Mesojedic. She is a remarkable woman with the brightest heart and a deep, genuine love for teaching. Her mentorship has shaped not only my practice, but the way I move through the world.

My father was the one who first introduced me to Reiki, finding my very first healing community practitioner gatherings and opening the door to this work. Even in his passing, his influence continues to guide me—urging me to look beyond the surface, to trust my intuition, and to always lead from the heart.

Throughout it all, my husband has been an unwavering source of support. Even when he didn’t fully understand everything I was doing, he never questioned my path. His quiet trust and belief gave me the freedom to follow my calling fully.
