Nikaylah Woody’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Nikaylah Woody. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Nikaylah, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve been finding a lot of joy in spending time outdoors and connecting with nature. I love horseback riding, exploring flower gardens, and taking quiet walks. It helps me slow down, clear my mind, and find a sense of balance outside of work.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Nikaylah, a visual artist who tells stories through moments of quiet observation. My work is about slowing down, noticing what often goes unseen, and creating from a place of care and connection.

I’m inspired by stillness, by the quiet in between moments that reveal something true about who we are and how we see the world

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I visited Portugal, it really changed how I see the world. Life there felt slower and softer. People took their time, enjoyed their meals, and didn’t seem caught up in always working or rushing somewhere. It reminded me that life doesn’t have to move so fast to be meaningful.

Since then, I’ve started noticing that same calm and ease whenever I explore somewhere new, even around my own city. It helped me see the beauty in ordinary places, the quiet moments I used to pass by. It taught me to slow down, be present, and just let myself enjoy where I am.

Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, I do. It’s often when I’m with my close friends and we’re talking about life, the things we hope for, the things we’ve struggled with, and everything in between. In those moments, I feel truly listened to. There’s no talking over each other, just care and understanding.

It’s a rare feeling, being heard without needing to explain too much, because they just get it. They’ve lived through similar things, so there’s a real sense of empathy there. Those conversations remind me how meaningful it is to feel seen and understood, and I’m really grateful for that.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Keeping family close is really important to me. No matter what’s going on, having that sense of connection and support is something I never take for granted.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I don’t really believe in living with regret, but I do think I’d feel a deep sense of loss if I never gave life to the creative ideas I carry with me. There’s so much I want to express and create, and I want to make sure I stay true to myself by giving those ideas a chance to exist.
