Rising Stars: Meet Amanda Fischer of Bemidji, Minnesota

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Fischer

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I never set out to be a content creator, but looking back, every step prepared me for this. I’ve always had a passion for sharing, encouraging, and helping others, and that naturally spilled into social media. But at the core of everything I do is my own story—losing my mom when I was just 9 years old.

Growing up without that constant guidance left me figuring out so much on my own, especially as I stepped into adulthood, marriage, and motherhood. I remember feeling lost at times, wishing I had someone to turn to for advice, encouragement, or even just the little things—like how to do my makeup, what clothes actually worked for my body, or how to stay grounded in my faith through life’s ups and downs. That feeling has never left me, and it’s why I show up online the way I do.

When I started sharing on Instagram, I didn’t have a big plan—I just wanted to create the kind of space I once needed. Whether it’s fashion, beauty, or faith, my goal has always been to help women feel confident and encouraged. Over time, that approach has resonated, and my platform has grown to over 300K followers, filled with women who, in one way or another, have been where I’ve been.

Today, I get to work with brands I love, create content that truly helps people, and most importantly, build a community of women who support and uplift one another. It hasn’t always been easy, but knowing I’m making a difference—even in small ways—keeps me going.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Losing my mom young and then my dad just days before becoming a mom myself meant navigating life—and parenting—without that guidance. Becoming a parentless parent was one of the hardest things I’ve faced. In the online space, I also struggled with self-doubt, algorithms, and staying consistent. But through it all, I leaned on my faith, stayed true to my values, and kept showing up. Those challenges shaped me, and they’re why I’m so passionate about creating a space where women feel encouraged and supported.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create content focused on fashion, beauty, hair, and faith—helping women feel confident in their own skin while staying true to themselves. With 13 years of experience as a hairstylist before the pandemic, I bring a deep understanding of hair and beauty, making my tutorials and tips both practical and approachable.

I’m known for sharing budget-friendly finds, easy styling tips, and real, relatable moments of life and motherhood. What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built—one that feels like a mix of friendship and encouragement. What sets me apart is my authenticity. I don’t just share products; I share my heart, my faith, and the real-life journey that brought me here. My goal has always been to create a space where women feel seen, supported, and inspired.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The online creator industry is constantly shifting, and I expect that to continue over the next 5-10 years. Video content will keep evolving, AI will play a bigger role in content creation, and brands will prioritize authentic, long-term partnerships over one-off collaborations. I also see more creators focusing on building deeper connections with their audiences, moving beyond just product recommendations to offering real value and relatability.

Personally, I believe adaptability is key. The platforms, algorithms, and trends will change, but staying true to your voice and genuinely serving your audience will always be what makes a lasting impact. I plan to continue evolving with the industry—showing up in new ways while keeping authenticity at the center of everything I do.
