Today we’d like to introduce you to Bella Franklin.
Bella, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My biological mother brought me here to the us when I was eight years old. I started elementary school around that time, and noticed everyone had family photos and photos of themselves as babies except me. Because of that, I always took photos of myself and friends. I loved taking photos. They were special to me. They meant everything to me moments to be paused, moments to be captured. In 2020 I realize the pandemic was making people really sad and depressed and I decided to offer a free mini photo session to a young couple that were her neighbors. It was then that I realized how much I loved taking photos of people, laughing, candidates, capturing a joyful time. I loved everything about photography, including editing. I have been in business for 5+ years now I have worked really hard to build my photography name. I love taking photos. My favorite photo shoot are engagements and weddings. Has new people begin their new lives together. It brings memory for me as well and I find joy and capturing them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve never been the popular type in school so I did not have friends that parents could book with me or their friends friends so it has been very hard. I have had to offer free mini sessions at some point and do giveaways to build a portfolio now it has become a little more easier, but I have to work hard still to get clients.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do, professional photography, engagements, families, weddings, I am known for a turnaround of photos in a timely manner one to two weeks I’m known for being organized having a good attitude. I’m proud of all the work I have accomplished. I’m different than other photographers because I don’t do it for the money I do it because I really care and I’m passionate about it.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Reading, the Bible helps me a lot to stay focused to remember whom my success is coming from and allows me to continue to do something I enjoy
