Rising Stars: Meet Goliath Oboyo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Goliath Oboyo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story started when I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Marketing Degree and Professional Sales Emphasis. I learned a lot of information during school and in my first few years working in corporate America that could help my community if they only had access to it. so, I began sharing what I have learned with friends, but I soon realized that I wanted to impact a wider audience than just my personal network.

That’s why I created the Addition Podcast platform to help share information with the black and minority community that will impact their lives in a positive direction. The goal is to add on to each other, so that the next generation can move forward without stumbling over the same obstacles the previous generation did.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the obstacles/challenges that I had to overcome is finding credible guest, scheduling conflicts, funding the podcast, and finding a way to make educational content entertaining. Everything is still a working progress and we are getting better every episode.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently work for Tata Consultancy Services as a Market Development Specialist. I’m known for outgoing, charismatic, and funny character. We sets me apart from others is my ability to connect with anyone and keep people engage.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was always involved in sports and extracurricular activities. I have a very engaging personality and that makes everyone feel welcome. My interest as always been with helping people achieve their goals in any way I can.
