Rising Stars: Meet Juice Sutton of Minneapolis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juice Sutton.

Hi Juice, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started dabbling in comedy in college doing variety shows. Started to feel like this was something I was good at cause I could make all audiences laugh. Graduated and began traveling to different cities just to network and do open mics. Began to fall in love and see this is what Good or me on this earth to do. That opened doors to being one of the hosts for the MN Twins and MN Wild.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth. Financially I have had so many ups and downs. Periods of the year where I was not getting booked at all was getting told no. Or comedy clubs or events not interested in me in general or I didn’t fit the mold.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a stand up comedian, professional emcee and actor. I am known for my stand up comedy and being the host for the MN Twins and Wild. I have been in Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns and House of Payne. I got to travel to Sweden to host the NHL global series. I have been nominated in 2018 and 2024 as the KIA Comedian of The Year. I have acted in over 50 commercials for companies such as Best Buy Target 3m Chipotle Allina Health and others. I have been in 4 feature films and have traveled the country sharing the stage with many of the greats.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Steve Harvey’s Think Like Success act like success book really got me far and gave me a lot of insight. I read other comics stories to motivate my journey
