Today we’d like to introduce you to Keegan Miller.
Hi Keegan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I created Glambykeee in 2017 on instagram as an outlet. At the time I was solely creating makeup looks to share with the world, sitting in my room for hours on end, working on my skills, allowed me to shut the rest of my personal world out for a little while. All throughout grade school, I struggled with bullying, anxiety, and depression, I needed my time to calm down from all of the negative outside noise. I’m so grateful for the support that my friends and family have given me throughout the years of creating makeup. I’ve always loved making others feel good about themselves, whether that be by compliments or a makeover!
I graduated high school in 2020, and while the world was shut down I felt more inspired than ever to create and wanted to inspire and make others happy. Once the world was starting to open a bit more I took the leap of faith to apply to beauty school. I was accepted shortly after I applied and was so excited but nervous for this next chapter of my life. I graduated as an esthetician in July of 2022, I took a few months to decide what I wanted to do. In November of 2022, I announced that I am now a professional eyelash technician and makeup artist!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I faced many challenges over the past few years, starting a business takes a lot of patience and money.
There were a few times when I didn’t see the light and wanted to give up. I had daily reminders and the support of my family to not give up.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an eyelash technician and makeup artist!
I specialize in volume lash extensions and prom/wedding makeup, I’m most known for the makeup I create, and I’m not afraid to go out in public with loud, bright, creative makeup on. I love doing colorful eyeshadow and eyeliner looks. I’m most proud of starting a business at 21 and overcoming some of my greatest fears while doing it!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years I will own my own salon chain, all while being a traveling makeup artist. I will also host beauty conventions and seminars for small artists like me!
