Rising Stars: Meet Robbie Jandik

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robbie Jandik.

Hi Robbie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started the path of entrepreneurship around the age of 12 when I began to explore the world of coding and building apps or games. I spent a lot of my youth playing video games and I had the first-generation iPad on which I downloaded plenty of games to keep me entertained. I am grateful for my addiction to video games as it ultimately sparked my creative mindset at an early age. I thought it would be really cool to be able to play my own game on the iPad, so I used YouTube as an educational tool and built a dozen or so games – some of which did nicely and climbed onto the App Store’s top 200 charts for their respective categories.

I was consequently able to land a feature on the front page of a local magazine for the traction on my apps, especially the ones that revolved around the then-blowing up game of Fortnite. I was able to get paid for gaming, something that has and always will interest me, and it was awesome. The article was then picked up by USA Today and that became leverage for securing a Scholarship to the University of St. Thomas for entrepreneurship. The Schulze Innovation Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship that focuses on building entrepreneurial spirit and equipping select students with the ability to launch and run their own business.

My other experiences up to this point included e-commerce (I had my own online store that sold high end items and collectibles), working in music management, car sales, and the practice of videography/photography/editing. During my junior year of college, I acquired my real estate license and joined Keller Williams Integrity Realty in Roseville, Minnesota. In my first six months, I sold over $1.5 million in real estate while simultaneously studying and attending college. I have not let it impede my education however as I still have a 3.65 cumulative GPA. I am currently a senior and graduate from college in May – after which I will continue to develop and build my real estate business, content creation, and car sales.

All of my interests and skills have come together quite nicely and ultimately have helped my business and personality develop.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, it has been a smooth road and I am very happy and grateful with how my career has developed thus far. The biggest challenges that I have faced is dealing with time management and the stress that accompanies juggling a few balls at once. Ultimately it is what I signed up for and I enjoy the process of learning and applying my skills to all aspects of business and life. Before becoming a licensed real estate agent, I quickly learned that I am more of a leader and someone who likes to be their own boss. I found that it is difficult to rely on the proper performance of others while having high expectations for their words or actions to be of high value. This is why I have a high interest in cars and real estate. It is true that both of these categories involve working with others, but I have found these processes to be much more enjoyable than working in a group of differing opinions.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The name’s Robbie, Realtor Robbie. I am a real estate professional, car enthusiast, and a student. Most importantly I enjoy creative pursuits such as photography and videography, directing, writing, creating games/apps, and producing digital content. My brain thinks very differently in terms of what I want to express and how I want to express it. For instance, when preparing to take a picture of a house, I try to imagine a different angle or subject matter that better captivates the audience. Is there a theme that I can produce or an untold story that I can convey? While I am still early on in the developmental phase of producing the highest-of-quality content, I really enjoy the learning process that allows me to experiment. What works and what doesn’t? My ultimate goal is to combine all of my experience, passions, and talents so that they are complementary of each other. I want to be known as the young guy who is really sharp when it comes to the mind and has a lot of cool stories to tell but also likes to get business done.

What sets me apart from others is that I am attempting to build an empire, not just a business. While I am happy with what I have accomplished professionally and personally so far, the rocket is still being fueled for takeoff and I have so much more in store to explore and show the world.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
My guess for the future of the real estate industry is as good as yours. Trends will show certain potential outlooks for the future, but it is hard to compare and create trends based on the past given that we are living in such a unique period of time. The worldwide impact of supply chains, the housing market, and all relative goods can be felt on the macro and micro level – from the big guys of corporate all the way down to the little guys. I do find one thing certain, however: our conversation five to ten years from now, or even 6 months from now, could be very different based on multiple factors and global events.

Whatever happens, I am here for the ride and ready to adapt if necessary. I have a great team, a large office with multifaceted support, and the skills to overcome any challenge whether it be in real estate or entrepreneurship.

If you’re unsure why you’d work with a younger agent, here’s what I will say:

I have multiple partners and advisors who hold my work to the highest degree of quality and ensure a smooth transaction. In other words, you essentially get 3 agents for the price of one. It is up to me, however, to prove to you that I am a knowledgeable professional who is comfortable with navigating the market. I am more than comfortable with ensuring that you get top dollar for your home or find the right home/investment property at a price that you find agreeable. Additionally, I have a transaction coordinator that ensures my work is compliant and free of errors. At this point, I am willing to bet you my entire commission that your transaction goes smoothly and that you will enjoy working with Realtor Robbie!
