Today we’d like to introduce you to Rondria Smaller.
Hi Rondria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Sisterhood Circle -Crown Fixer really started through life experience. I was going through a very difficult time, and at the same time, several women in my family and close circle were going through things of their own. I had always been the go-to person—the one everyone called for just about everything, even when it came to finding activities and things for us to do together.
I still wanted to be there for everyone, but I was carrying things too. One day, while trying to make sense of everything, the idea came to me: What if I brought the women together and we helped each other? Instead of everything falling on me, we could create a circle where everybody had something to contribute. I even suggested that each woman choose an activity for us to do together.
Right before our first meeting, the name came to me: Sisterhood Circle — Healing Women Without A Band-Aid, with the purpose of helping women heal through trauma and grow through pain.
Today, my daughter Maresha and I are the co-founders, and our journey hasn’t always been easy. We’ve experienced the loss of our uncle during the developing stages of the Organization, people walking away, being told that what we were trying to build wouldn’t work, and times when we didn’t know how we were going to fund the events we wanted to provide. But we stayed true to ourselves, our vision, and our organization. When others thought we couldn’t, God continued to make a way.
Along the journey, we’ve met some amazing people who believed in what we were doing, showed us love, supported us, and helped us keep moving forward.
Today, Sisterhood Circle is a growing women’s support organization focused on healing, fixing crowns, connection, personal growth, and community. We also give back through free community events and holiday meals and basket giveaways for families in our community.
And we’re still growing. This is only the beginning. Stay tuned.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of our biggest challenges was realizing that not everyone we thought would grow with us was meant to continue on the journey with us. We also had to overcome the fear of the unknown. Taking Sisterhood Circle beyond family and friends and introducing our organization to the public was scary because we didn’t know how people would receive us.
There were times when tickets didn’t sell, we put our own money into events, took losses, and still didn’t know if anyone was going to show up. But we showed up anyway. We stayed consistent and continued to follow the vision even when we couldn’t see what the outcome would be.
Through all of those challenges, we learned that when you’re trying to change your life and build something meaningful, you have to have faith. You have to believe in what you’ve created even when other people don’t understand the vision yet. Every obstacle taught us something, made us stronger, and gave us another reason to keep going.

Sisterhood Circle is a growing women’s support organization focused on creating safe spaces for women to heal, grow, connect, and support one another. Our motto is “Healing Women Without A Band-Aid,” because we believe healing is about more than covering up what hurts. It’s about having honest conversations, doing the work, and knowing you don’t have to go through it alone.
One of the ways we do that is through Inside the Circle, where women can come together for meaningful discussions, encouragement, activities, and our Hot Topic Box, which gives women a way to bring up things they may not be ready to speak about openly. We believe women should be able to participate at their own pace and never feel pressured to share before they’re ready.
We also believe healing should include joy. We incorporate activities, games, outings, and community events because sometimes women need to laugh, have fun, build friendships, and simply enjoy themselves too. Beyond our women’s programming, we give back through free community events and holiday meal and basket giveaways for families.
What I’m most proud of is that we kept going. We started with very little funding and a vision, and there were times we paid for things ourselves without knowing whether anyone would even show up. Today, we’ve built community relationships, formed partnerships, received support from people who believe in our work, and we’re continuing to grow.
What sets Sisterhood Circle apart is that we’re intentional about creating a genuine sisterhood. We don’t want women to just attend a meeting and go home. We want them to feel seen, heard, supported, connected to resources when they need additional help, and able to leave even the difficult conversations feeling lighter than when they came in.
We’re still building, and there is so much more we want to do. But I’m proud that through everything, we’ve stayed true to why Sisterhood Circle was created in the first place: women helping women heal, grow, and move forward together.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important message I’ve learned throughout this journey is that it’s okay to be scared, but you still have to believe in yourself and believe in what you’re creating. Stay consistent, and don’t worry about what other people think of you or what they’re doing. Stay focused on your own journey and your own purpose.
Most importantly, never forget to trust God, even in the scariest moments. Sometimes you won’t know how things are going to work out, but that doesn’t mean you stop moving forward. Have faith, believe in yourself, and keep going.
